SMARTY

Intellect is just intellect, wisdom (though this is just my opinion) is using it for good purposes.

Intelligence is the capacity of learning or understanding.. to rationalize.. etc.. etc.. Wisdom is the state of knowledge where you know what is right or wrong.. the sense of understanding.. so in another words intelligence is the capacity and wisdom is the sense of understanding.

P.S. both intelligence and wisdom are required to be consider smart.. regardless of how you achieved your knowledge.. my opinion anyways.

Well take Hitler for example: he was a very intelligent person but as a result of his lack of wisdom and true understanding of everyone outside the white non-Jewish race, he turned completley insane. My opinion is that you're not smart until you know how to properly (by my definition though) use your intellect.
