Why isn't this more known

Ultraotter there are many misleading things on this site, there are things that are absolutely unreal, I say that with confidence and the hope that you are not absorbed or dissolved by such falsities. What form of magick are you looking into.

Also, if you are new, I'm sure that most traditions will agree that Magic= stage magic preformed as an illusion by magician (like chris angel.)
Magick= spells cast by an actuall practicioner of the craft.

But thats a common mistake, it's nothing too big to worry about. Most people wont mention it, i'm just anal.

Also, magick is: "the Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will" as Aleister Crowley puts it.

I think it's better to remain in secrecy or the world would be in constant turmoil

and the progression of the magical arts is still extremely new.. So it is up to us to evolve and to make changes try new things so we can pass it on to the next generation and maybe in a few hundred to a few thousand years maybe magic will be to the point of what you said.

How is magic new? Hasn't it been around a really long time? I haven't done too much research, but I didnt really think magic was 'new' seemed pretty ancient to me.

The 'new' in the meaning that the 'general use' of it have incresed.
And that many now go 'alternative' in other ways to.

Mostly I supose it's refered to that's it is in general is growing and also you can't gett punished that much by other 'forces' any more. (refering to by church and 'mobs' of the 'old' kind)

Magic is very old, ancient indeed.

Why it isn't well known?
I wouldn't say it isn't well known, many people are familiar with the word.

I would say more or less misunderstood, greatly; and rather avoided.
Religion is a big factor in the avoidance of magic, as well as stereotypes, and rumors.

Some religions such as Christianity (a class A example) preach that magic only brings harm is attempting to control what isn't ours to control.

Stereotypes and rumors also play a large part in it- Satanists are often accused to sacrificing innocent children and other heinous acts as such.

When I said "To know, To Will, To Do, To Keep Silent" I was refering to the fact that the last part could be why things aren't well known. True people know OF magick, but they don't really KNOW magick. That is to say, how it works, what it is good for, and all the truths behind it.
