Depends on tradition. But in all tradition it has two important uses,
1) Wisdom ( occult knwoledge, pass test )
2) Apotropaic ( protection and exorcism )
Often used in exorcism potions ( brews , floorwashes ) or on pass test and wisdom oil, sometimes in success formulas , such as in Hoodoo.
Allegedly it was one of the ingreditents in mythical Cauldron of Ceridwen.
Someone well sugested using it in protective Circle forming / tracing. I'd mix
Vervain
Basil
Rue
for such :)
First of all, if you think someone plagerized, take it to an editor or moderator and let them handle it. I do agree several parts look like they could have been, but he could have given notes from something he learned or was taught. I was accused of plagerism for a ritual I posted. I had learned it the proper way with physical practice from a teacher and decided to take notes and post it, with their permission. All people need to learn to cite their source unless directly from their head (sometimes I even state that as my source).
Vervain and lemongrass are used for making so called Van Van oil .Which is used for protection and attracting good luck ,tho many consider it as any purpose oil .It tea of it can be used for cleansing and consecrating tools .Some folks used it for love spells too or as ally during dream work and art work .
Its also considered a holy herb in some traditions and can protect against demons and vampyres, but thats part of the myth. Its known to be a very useful herb in magick, it has too many uses for me to remember. XD
If we want to get technical, you didn't claim to be anyone else's information either by the lack of citation which in fact does make it plagiarism since the lack of a citation is considered to mean that there is no need for it because it's your own work. Since it is not your own work, and you did not specifically give the credit to the author, it is in fact plagiarism.
Further more, proper citations have been given in multiple threads through out the forums when others have failed to put them up and while I agree it should be brought to the attention of Mods or Editors if it is repeatedly happening by a particular member, odds are no one is going to want to remove good information simply for lack of posting but rather do exactly what was done.....Post the citation and make an example of how it's done to avoid any legal issues.
