how to become a wiccan?

Hi there, I?ve been practicing Wicca for a good many years now and one of the first questions that comes up is the one about where to start. My suggestion is always to start by doing some reading and studying to make certain that you understand what Wicca is really all about, and so that you can then decide whether this is truly the path that you want to follow. So with that in mind I thought I would offer some books and websites that are full of sound I information which can help you get started on your path.

Wicca is a way of life, it's either a set of beliefs or a set of practices or both.
It's a choice.

You don't have to be inducted to believe in something, you only have to inducted or accepted to join an establishment like a coven or church.

Accept it as your religion

I suggest you listen to Lark and research more before deciding if Wicca is right for you. If you choose to call yourself a Wiccan without actualy having been initiated into a lineaged coven then you need to call yourself an ecclectic Wiccan, otherwise it is considered disrespectful to those who are lineaged initiates, and high priest/priestesses because of what they had to go through and the fact that Gerald Gardner invented Wicca and they were taught by someone who was taught be him, or by him.

The key to being a wiccan is LIVING as a wiccan. There are great syggestions and links for further reading and reserching. Wicca is a religion that is very... "hands on", if you know what i mean. :)
