Your Sanctuary..

my place were I keep calm is actually in a public park beleave it or not. in the park theres tons of bushes and a thin walking path, when you go inside theres a clearing with a bent/split tree that got hit by lighting that I like to sit in. its a nice place :)

If you don't mind me asking, what's the name of the book your friend gave to you?

I think an inner sanctuary is ideal for meditation. A mental temple can also serve as a place to practice if there is a lack of physical space.

I built a temple in my head for this because of a lack of space. I decided to visualize building it brick by brick, this invests more energy into it and makes it more concrete and familiar. I can say it served as well as a physical one for rituals.

My Sanctuary is outside. Normally, I go to one of the many parks here. I love the trees. :) My husband and I just bought a house, so I'm eager to turn our backyard into a Sanctuary. ^_^
