I have received such mails too; everything from turning them into vampire, werewolf, and even growing wings! haha When in the mood, I explain how that it impossible. Other times I just say no. Either way, I wait to see if there is more from this person, but usually not. I have blocked many. Its all we can do to deter this.
I agree I have recieved emails like this before a lot! Also many other things I take it as someone being young and really just new to everything.Normally I havnt had anyone be too persistant.
All of us have received such messages in the past,instead of insulting there beliefs,I try to guide them on the right path,RP is not allowed on the site,but we must try and help them understand
Since I joined SoM two weeks ago, I probably recieved about 150 mails about becoming a vamp, about wolf spirits in human bodies and turning into a werewolf.
And I think maybe 4 mails from people who are serious about craft etc.
Kind of a sad ratio...
Use the opportunity to educate rather than condemn. Typically these mails come from the younger ones who are just trying to figure things out.
Many young people turn to SoM not because they really want to be a vampire or a werewolf or whatever but because they believe that turning into one of these provide an escape from whatever their daily troubles are. I have met many troubled persons on here. Sometimes they just need to talk.
Yes there are the few who are doing it for the coolness factor but it is somewhat irresponsible for those of us who know better to just shut them out uniformly.
I have received such questions. One asking are you a werewolf. One asking are you able to turn me into a vampire. I said no and blocked them. I don't like rping.
I have received such questions but I suggest just tell them gently that they are not real. But, from my view and my personal experience these questions can cause great conspiracy! It's rather sad, but people believe in a lot of fluff.
I once had a person ask me if I believe in Satan. I will not tell you what ellse had been said I told him my belief, and back came a threat. I suggest as ,any do to put in big bold words on your bio.
However if nothing works and you still receive such fluff, then block them or report them. Also continued this step tell a mod, or your coven leader. Also maybe don't just reply? It can save you from being gagged if you still get mails.
