Im done with this forum. Most people ive talked to understand that Gurby is wrong so my job is done. Im sick of arguing the same point over and over because "some people" are too incompetent to understand.
I'm not Wrong!!! You are making points that are not yours to make. you are not defending anything. you are making a point of ignorance saying learning the Basics are not in their best interest!!
The basics should be learned by everyone, but I believe he is right in saying that if you already have the know-how there's no point in learning more how. He's not talking about the people who are born with a talent, he's talking about the people who are blessed with it to the point where they already have the skill most people take decades to achieve. I have seen such talent myself before and so can vouch for Adon's claims, he is right in what he has said even if he said it in a way that gave a different message then what he meant.
If you mean the people who I have seen then the two of them were female, not male, and neither had any training. Just a natural healer's touch and with more skill then most "masters" I have seen. Their mother was a nurse and taught them to use medical equipment then a few years later they didn't need it. At the age of nine a friend I've had since preschool was capable of doing more with her bare hands then most people who spend years training and studying, so going through that I would say would not only be a waste of her time, but also an insult to her talent.
As for her age, yes, she was only nine years old when her talent blossomed in full. It's more like something from mythology or movies. It's not the kind of thing most people believe in nowadays, but considering what we research, study, and practice here I would have to call any close-minded individual who says it's impossible an ignorant fool. It is amazing, it is real, and to be honest I'm living proof of her abilities.
I have nothing against this thread though.
But,i do find this rather in complicated ways...
However,i do agree that some healers aren`t to mess up with those who gave them no permission at all.The other side would be that sometimes,if one is in danger..It may be the most suitable thing to heal the person with/without the person`s permission.
Besides that,I would advise people here to get ready for surprise attacks.Anyone could just say "Oh i`m gonna heal you" with a smile.But,the other thought would be "I`m gonna leech your energy"
Fortunately,in healing,some tend to drain the person by accident while performing the healing process.That`s one to be acceptable.
Still..i pretty much agree with few of Gurby`s words that people should consider training.And some of Adon`s word,that assumption shouldn`t be taken first.
Gurby, as a healer my self i find this forum highly insulting ,not because you feel thats some or all healers need training i my self have had training from my family , but because of the way you speak of them as if none of them know what they are doing or even have a right to heal with out training.... its upsetting... whiel it is always good to learn from someone else from time to time i do not feel that formal traning is all ways needed . in cases where "loose cannon healers" are harming people by what they are doing and the DONT mean to then sure traing is needed but they should be able to move on and learn for them selvs once they know the basics , and in the case where "loose cannon healrs" are harminng people on purpose... its not asthough you can force them to seek traing now can you?? so in the mean wheil (unless you want to ran around looking for all these "loose cannons" and train them yourself) all you can do is be there for the people they may harm and help them by offering to put things right... its a big issue to be sure but its just like the RPG'S on the site theres not a lot we can do about it at this piont in time.
Gurby, after speaking with others i realise its not what you said which upset me more so how you said it and i agrea with you (mostly ;p) and am thankful you have raised the issue. those healers out there who are hurting people ... well they just need a smack around the ears just like RPG's lol

Personally, I think Gurby meant that just because you know a little about working with energy, doesn't mean you can start doing full-blown healing sessions for anyone you wish. It's a process. Reiki itself has a lot to do with attunements, symbols, hand positions, secrets and so on. I don't think he meant that a natural healer who has been practicing for years and has natural healing in the family cannot heal. I think he just meant you can't be a shady, messy healer. If you work like that, you can hurt yourself and the other person while invading their field of energy. You have to know what you're doing. But, I can't talk for him. That's what I got out of it. I don't think anyone can just heal properly. Heal a little something, maybe, but could there be a consequence elsewhere in their body or yours? That's something to think about. Everyone should learn some sort of basics. But as for the basics starting from the natural healers who were here before the classes, that's true. Healing has evolved over the years, but the practice of a natural healer is ancient. If one is to be a natural healer, they should have a lot of experience, and understand the approach to different patterns of energy. That is a natural healer, not someone who just knows the basics of some forms of energy healing. I think the whole issue here was misunderstanding of terms. :D
