Just reread my post. I did not mean it to appear that I thought Christians were, or are inferior to Witches or anyone else, I just think your energy is lacking compared to ours at this particuler time.

You went far of the subject now. We don't speak about truth off the bible and gnostic gospels. If you are a Christian you will follow bible. And we do not speak is it good or bad to use wicca or any other occult practices. We speak about being Christian and wiccan. And as you see it don't make sence.
Thats it... If you question the bible and believe in God, than you are not Christian, you are something else. It's the essence of Christianity that we speak. It can't go allong with wicca or any other paganistic or monotheistic ot philosophy practices.
So you are Christian or something else, there is no place in the middle.
I'm a Christian *witch,* not a Christian Wiccan. To those that say it is impossible to be both Christian and Wiccan, I pretty much agree. Christianity and Wicca are two religions, and I would agree that you can't belong to two separate religions at the same time. I do not, however, consider witchcraft to be a religion in itself. To my understanding, Christianity and Wicca are religions, and witchcraft is an art or, if you will, science. Witchcraft is not a religion, however, it *is* a large aspect of many pagan religions. A person can be a Wiccan, but that doesn't necessarily guarantee that person is a witch, a practitioner of witchcraft. I've heard of many Wiccans who in fact do not practice witchcraft, so it's not unheard of.
At first glance, yes, it does certainly appear that Christianity rejects any form of witchcraft, magick, etc., however, I have come to the belief that the Bible is indeed mistranslated. In the old testament, the words translated into the english word "witch," are really words that should have been more accurately translated into "one who does evil magick," or "uses magick to harm others." When looking at the original text of the New Testament, the word witch or any other words similar to it are never even found. Jesus himself, the founder of Christianity never spoke once of magick or witchcraft. When people read verses written by Paul or other New Testament writers with the words "witch," the original word was really a word meaning "poisoner," when directly translated. One exception would be when Paul begins traveling with Elymas. He is said to be a 'magus,' or sorcerer, but nothing is ever written negatively about it. It simply says that's what he was and he began traveling with Paul as a new Christian. It never says that he was wicked or that he stopped practicing sorcery. Considering that Paul was mainly preaching to pagan nations, if witchcraft was indeed 'sinful,' wouldn't he have spoken a significant amount on it? Considering he spoke absolutely nothing of witchcraft, even when it's used to harm, was it really wrong to practice? I'm sure many of the people he spoke to were common practitioners of magick.
Personally, I can't see how witchcraft as an art negates from a relationship with God. On the contrary, as a Christian practicing witchcraft, I find it strengthening my relationship considering the God of Christianity is the only god I invoke. I can't see my god punishing Christians for using witchcraft in a positive manner if it's not distracting them from their faith.
In conclusion, in my research I've found that non-harmful witchcraft is not prohibited in the Bible, and, in-fact, is hardly spoken of. I've found that it is certainly possible for a Christian to practice witchcraft because witchcraft is not a religion. Witchcraft is an aspect of many religions, but it does not equate to Wicca or any other pagan religion. The magick Christian witches perform simply should not invoke other deities and be used only positively. In my opinion, the Wiccan rede is excellent advice concerning witchcraft, "An it harm none, do what ye will."

( By the way, the Poisioner that you refer to had less to do with evil magic and more to do with one of the worst crimes one could committ in a desert, poisoning water wells ) This was a tactic very much frowned upon but used. In case you didn't see, there are a lot of OR's in the different definitions.
One can be a Christian, and not attend church, or read any section of the bible that does not relate to the teachings of Christ. The sections that claim a witch (or any other name you wish to call it)are evil/wrong/should not live, are in the Old Testament, which is actually Jewish text borrowed by the Church and applied to the current bible. It was written for those who believe Jesus was not the son of God and still await the coming of the Savior.
At no point have I ever read a single word that said Jesus told people they could not partake in magick. I might have missed it so if there is text in which Jesus spoke these words, I will take back these words.
While Christianity is Abrahamic, it is different in the respect that it pays more attention to the teachings of Christ aka Jesus than just that of God.
Yeah you can call your self Christian...but you ain't one! . And those rules you show me there will not inpress me. You keep getting of the subject. If you believe in God---you don't need spells..it's chaldish. Wiccan and Christian..impossible. Let it go.
i felt the need to comment on the subject. the phrase christian witch condridicts itself. christians are taught to be against witchcraft. so you are going against the teachings of christianity. if one must refer to oneself as a christian witch then it should not be explained as a religion. christianity is a religion. being a witch however is not a religion. if im correct then those who call themselves christian witchs believe in the christian god but disagree with certain christian beliefs and who also practice witchcraft. this could be a valid religion however using the term christion witch is not an appropriate name as it is completely contridictory. you cannot be a christian and a witch.
i'm a christian. i've read online about other christaians opposing the idea of a witch ,but i don't believe in that. i trust god and i think he would've given me a sign telling me what i am doing is wrong by now. i've only done this for 2 weeks though so what do i know? don't worry. u'r not alone.
