I'm sorry, but I'm jumping in here.
For all the young ones: no-one controls elements, spirits, mermaids (especially the one with the trophy), or power.
One can gain experience, skill, talents, understanding, abilities, but not power. You tap into -channel if you like- the energy from the elements and use it as you wish. But it's like being with a dog on a leash. You walk the dog, feeling it pull against the leash, and guide the dog by maneuvering the leash to give the dog direction but, unlike any other dog, this one is deaf and blind. You can't give it commands because it can't hear or see you.
You can't control elements either because the elements are deaf and blind to you. Air has no brain, and therefore cannot understand you. You, therefore, cannot impose will over it. You cannot grab air in your hands, therefore you cannot control it by physical means. It's not just a matter of using the wrong terminology. It's a matter of thinking in the wrong sense of the words.
Find the right people to help, ask the right questions, read more, study more, keeping practicing the basics -daily- and stop getting your information on magic from popular media.
We all want to wield the power of the Ancients, but, it's just not going to happen. Logic and realism are part of magic, unlike the Charmed Ones.
And they call me a beginner. sheesh.

And you still be a beginner. I know all of the basics, I have read a lot of books based on magic. The spirits are more clever than you think. They can teach you a lot of things too. A lot of people who tried it, have a full success. And this is not a way to bind the spirit inside you, but it is a way to make it become one with you. But still, even if I am describing it, some of you don't believe me. But you should try it before talking like this on the forum.

• Moderators are not laywers, nor are we only about authority. Yes, a mod position is one of authority, but that does not define who we are. We don't blow off everything 'new or strange' off to be automatically ridiculous as we aren't xenophobic. AwakeTooLong and I have actually stated more than once that what you're researching is not new .
• There's a certain level of maturity and wisdom that comes along 'years of experience' and you don't seem to have either because of calling people beginners or saying 'you don't understad nothing' to someone simply because they either call you out or don't agree with your opinions. Don't assume you know anything of us unless we have shown it.
• I have not mentioned draining energy before now, in response to you, WindyOne, so I don't know where that comment came from.
• You have stated yourself that this method 'binds a spirit to you' and yet you've just stated that it is not. This is one of the many contradictions that keep us from taking you seriously. I'm not saying you're a liar, I'm saying you're not consistant.
• White does not always mean good and dark does not always mean bad.

Well, you are a little right. But the only thing I'm trying to tell you is just try it. How many times did I have to tell you that. I cannot describe the feeling, and I have a personal reason for that., but it is true. So stop, I beg you, stop talking to much and try it. I don't require nothing. Well Eiskora, I don't want to underestimate no one. But you have to understand that I not up to do something bad. Just try it.

windyone, have you stopped to consider that those of us who have pointed out that this process is not new or original have actually practiced (ie: tried) similar magic?

You telling us to try it is like telling a calculus teacher to try multiplication, because it will blow their mind.

I'm telling it directly to all of those, including you Awake, who don't understand that this is something deferent.

Regardless just humor windy and try it. End the debates over it. And this is the first time uv seen anything like it so it's new to some people.
