A portal to Hell

I understand that different traditions hold different beliefs about what the after life is like. However, as I am Catholic, I was simply presenting my CATHOLIC view of the afterlife, and am in no way attempting to take away from the pagan. And yes, as I am aware of it, the modern English "hell" is taken from the name of the norse goddess, as an attempt by early Catholics to convert more pagans to the faith

I'm sorry Arabus. I didn't mean to offend you. I actually agreed with your post. I'm trying to correct the misunderstanding of No Name's belief that the underworld is hell.

There are many places in the astral that can be considered "hell" or "heaven" where only the most vile or pure souls reside. However, from my observations of the spirit world "hell" can be obtained anywhere. It's when people (physical and spiritual) are overwhelmed by the darkness of their souls or the guilt of their deeds. Evil consumes, and it is not kind to those that it does consume.

There are many ideas about what happens after death, I would guess it is the point of religion.

When I dream of the underworld I understand that there are laws and a ranking. Its a very complex nature. There are a certain kind of materia, there is light and darkness. The strongest spirits will survive in the astral plane. The weakest spirits are transformed into new energy and black materia. I dont belive that the soul is eternal. A piece of an airplane today may have been a man long ago. I think all people(and animals) will come to the underworld after death. There is much beauty in the underworld as well.
Depending on what you do in life, it will have consequences on the other side. I dont think the underworld is a hell, its a complex, a nature. And there are different levels in the underworld. If you succeed in the underworld, you can choose to be born again, or to proceed through the other dimensions.
Thats what I belive!

Of course Rav, my apologies :) but I agree with you, too many people confuse the concepts of hell and the underworld

I don't believe you can physcially go, but astrally I think it is possible.
But I wouldn't recommend it. It could cause spirits from that world to try to possess your body or follow you back to this world.
I'd be very careful if you do try. I would suggest you learn all the facts before you even think about doing it.

I dont think you can open a portal to hell, but you could put your self in a trance-like state and imagine you are in hell if you wanted to, AP could work too.

The spell you read is probably a fluff spell. Sorry. :)

You might want to conjure some weapons, armor, and protection such as gaurds

Heaven or Hell are what you think they are. Whatever is your belief. I think that Hell is suffering, and Heaven is contented happiness. Let me tell you the story of the old Jewish man who has just been "rescued" from a concentration camp.
