I havent been ranked yet; but from what I have seen so far- some people shouldnt be novices, although it is not a bad rank. (Like Zeb, Bane, ect.)

I dont think anybody knows the extent of a persons knowledge, therefore the ranks may not always be accurate, however I can't argue. Its Pet's and the moderators' decisions. Of course, people may level up, down, whichever.

Likely they just haven't received enough votes to be elevated yet.

Actually, how does the system work? How is it decided who is what? Any info on that would be appreciated. :)

Pet's post indicates that there are a variety of factors involved, but also that some people have been chosen to help influence the process.

Honestly, I'm not sure how it works and I doubt we'll get a breakdown of the algorithm or formula used to determine how much a vote counts for, what other factors influence that weight, and so forth. But given that everyone started relatively low on the scale and then was "ranked up," it seems that it would require multiple people to agree on anything to really influence the matter. Stoney is elevated to Adept, for example, and that would be indicative that a great many people, with a great deal of weight behind their sayso, thought he should have such a rank. Some of it boils down to who sees somebody contributing and so forth.

Or if you hide behind shadows does that make you a fluffy?

I support that AwakeTooLong have pointed out .Stop crying get working to improve yourknowledge ,or if you do not care ignore it .Whining and compaining gets you really nowhere .And Bard have pointed that it is not final ,you still have the opportunity to change your situation .

I'm happy! I got promoted to beginner, and I believe that is the rank I deserve.
