Friday the 13th

I'm waiting for the lucky Friday the 13th to come around! Today was just bad for me, for a variety of reasons. And does a void-of-course moon affect your luck in any way? I thought since it was a void-of-course moon, it might be another explanation for misfortune.

Its usually a lucky day for me because I believe it to be lucky, Oh the power of positive thinking!

Ooh superstitions. I used to research them when I was a teen. Useless information that makes great conversation starters! Haha

Friday the 13th has many beliefs surrounding it. The first is that it is the witches' Sabbat, like Christians view Sunday. 13 was the number of witches believed to be in a coven. It was a powerful number.

This day was reinforced to be considered unlucky, as was stated, by the persecution of the Knight's Templar who became too rich and powerful for the King's liking. They were framed and arrested. They were tortured and what was supposedly "confessed" was only heard by the torturers and should not be believed. Those poor souls...

Another possible origin for the superstition comes from the last supper. Jesus + 12 Apostles = 13 People who look at it that way claim that Judas is the 13th not Jesus.

If you look around America you'll notice that 13 plays a rather large role in the culture. Obviously it's because of the original 13 colonies but it's still interesting to take note of in my opinion.

In General 13th was always an unlucky number, many people faced troubles at the age of 13 even me, but on contrary side 13 also can be very lucky for you not the vice versa, as some people say in 2013 people will face a lot of problems because of the weather, job, and financial problems but I think these all are not true. Anyway I believe Friday 13th can be both lucky and unlcuky

well i was born on Friday the 13th and it's been my fav number when I was a kid before I found out it was unlucky to me I've never had an unlucky Friday the 13th!

I was born on aFriday of the thirteenth. 15 years ago and I shall be 16 on Friday the thirteenth of June
