I also have to disagree with much of what has been said here.
While energy and intent are a big part of spell casting, you don't need to do this "5-10 times" in order for the spell to be successful. While repetition is sometimes needed depending on the spell or ritual, it is not a constant. If the focus and intent are strong enough your spell should be successful regardless of how many times it is done.
Also, as has been previously stated, you don't need tools or items to make a spell successful. The purpose of a tool is to help the caster better focus on their intended outcome or desired goal. Words alone, accompanied with visualization and focus of the intended outcome, are often all that is needed to cast a successful spell. If you feel that tools or items are needed to make your spells successful, then so bet it. However, to say that one must always use tools is incorrect. If you have the experience, energy and visualization are all that are needed for magical workings.
Almost, the will you put into the spell is absolutely necessary however it won't bring about any effect on its own it needs to be tied in with energy, focus and belief. Those are basically the key ingredients of spell work but you can of course work in as many extra tools or methods as you like to help you achieve a higher degree of one or more of these elements.
Yes, I too dissagree with this post. There are good spells that work with simple words. Reppition may aid in focus on the goal, but it is not necessary in a spell. There are still some bad eggs on this site that aren't good spells. I typically identify these as the ones as the ones that are typed in text language, have bad spelling, an irregular rhyming plot etc. Because most of them are written by teenagers who RP and pretend they are vampires or what not.
true, spells that have only words can be invalid, but sometimes they do work, but like you said you must perform them over time over and over again for them to gain power, that's why ancient spells work better, but if you have your own book of shadows which most witches possess then you do make your own spells in your own spell book, a valid spell needs energy, focused intent, visualization and if you perform wicca then you need the three fold law and creed. of course anyone can make a spell and it may or may not work, that's why you should know how to make a spell correctly and test it on a person, event, place, and time. So yeah, some spells may be invalid to most witches like most witches do not believe you can turn into a mermaid, werewolf, vampire or any other mythical or supernatural or mystical creature do to the fact either they believe they don't work or they don't believe in the spells or those creatures. But anyways yeah you are right some spells can be invalid but some may have power after all that's why you must test the spells to see if they work or do them over and over again for like a few years or whatever.
So your basicly saying that you just went through a bunch of spells and rated them one star because they only had words....did you even read them first? I mean, come on...
