The Jinn do not ''grant wishes'' any more than other spirits do.
And the three wishes thing is also fairly new of a concept.
So who/what are the jinn? Well, put simply the Jinn are a variety of tribes of human-like spirits. Their magic is usually quick and dirty.
As for how to contact them, you'll find a variety of instructions in a variety of different places. If you thought the ceremonialism of Western magicians was a bit ''much'', the Muslim magi actually made giant iron circles before summoning jinn, and made sure it was big enough for them in case they fainted.
However, to meet a Jinn, an easier road than the ''say its name 2412412541 times'' would be to simply ask an ally to introduce you to one, or go look for one on the astral plane yourself.
Also, just because something resides on another plane, does not mean it can't be summoned. While one can argue on whether they are summoned into the physical world, or the corner of the astral plane you duplicate and have trained your senses into perceiving, it is irrelevant, as they are there.
In fact, summoning something from the astral plane is easier than summoning something from the physical one. I mean imagine standing in a circle and whistling hoping your dog will come.
Genies can be summoned, Maybe used for grant wishes as his master wish. Summoning them isn't any sort of witchcrafting thing or like evocation invocation. There's some special procedures. Once they're summoned successfully, they becomes slave of their master for lifetime, but not sure about spiritual backlash.
I'm especially been searching for a Jinn details for 3 three years, and today morning, I've found all. Its about the King of Genies who is known as Abu Yusuf.
And would love to suggest that Summing him will bring much favorable or worst result to practitioner.
I would suggest not aiming quite so high the first time you summon something. If Astaroth's research is legit, then something like the King of the Jinn would probably take a lot more time and energy than most folks have to spare, plus there is most likely a specific ritual associated with him to avoid the worst case scenario and to avoid insulting him.
Look into the folk lore behind Jinn and see what that suggests as to how you'd need to go about approaching them. Again, research is paramount here. Also, be polite, I think I remember reading that a lot of Jinn have nasty tempers but stand on ceremony. If that's right, then you want to know what they'll expect from you.
I don't think if there's any. Jinns are Islamic things, they're hard, they're fierce, they are Deadly! Don't consider to summon jinn if you're unmatured, or unfamiliar with their power.

Link given as entertaining purpose, I do not take any responsibilities for misuse.
Imo, the easiest way for you to meet a jinn, would be to simply meet one on the astral plane, or better yet ask one of your friends to introduce you to one.
I wouldn't say the jinn are Islamic in nature, because afaik, they preexist Allah, and Islam.
General evocation methods work for jinn in my experience.
Much like you don't NEED fancy Goetia methods, blood sacrifices, and sigils drawn in gold to summon demons, you don't need fancy Islamic methods, repeating the jinn's name 134 times, and the giant iron circle.
