Note again the use of the word 'opposite'

I understand this is what you may have meant, but this is in reference to humans. Any race would die out and cease to exist without a mate or, as some have done, they would become a-sexual (I think that's it anyways) and would reproduce without a mate. Sharks, for example, lack males so there are scientists that believe the female shark's way of cloning itself is some sort of compensation for the lack of mating. Without light we would be unable to see and so, scientifically, the world would be clouded in absolute darkness. There would be no balance and we would have to adapt, but there would be no cease in existence of anything unless something failed to adapt.

The need for balance. The sun comes up and darkness fades, the sun goes down and darkness grows, that is the cycle.

Light can disappear if all light sources cease to exist, but light is the lack of darkness in a space and so how can darkness 'disappear' if light does? That concept contradicts itself. If we were to say that shadows are the yin for yang then shadows would certainly disappear without light so that would make sense, but shadows are an outcome of balance and not a cause of it.
We don't know for thair is alwase light in dark. When the person who was saying that dark was hear before all beeings and how shadows are still in the dark.....well no that is light that is causing those....well I know what wiki says. Yes that is the balance. But Black and White are PROVEN by sience that one can not be with out the other. All we know is that we can not understand it...at all. It is like saing "I know whare I am going when I die" when you have not died. We do not know anythang. WE can not prove magick is real either. All we know is what we do works and we assume it to be magick...tho that may be true but also it could just be a counsidence...like it is karma. Tho we can not prove anythang we do ENLESE we RECOREDED it with OUT a pen and paper. Ying and Yang are oppisets but they are ONE, one whole, one beeing, one creture. So I know that this is hard to understand but it is real. Since we grew up (well most of us) we where told that ghosts and magic was not real. So but read this "For what is light is darkness? Is it evil? Is it good? For darkness will yield to the light and light shall yield to darkness. What would happen if both died. Would the world die with it or wold their be nothing at all in this world.". That is saying that if one shold ever go out the other will go with it. For each yield to the other.
I once shut out all light from my room. It was impossible, even for me when I stayed in complete darkness for so long, to see. There was no light in the room. THERE WAS DARKNESS. That means that where there is not light there is darkness.
As for the rest of what you said, did you bother reading my posts in your own coven? You've invited me to teach, but from what I've seen of you it doesn't look like you're willing to learn. I not only know where I'm going, I know where you are going, I know where my friends are going, I know where the people I don't know are going. I don't know where my journey, nor theirs, will lead to in the long run, but if you read my lessons you would know what happens after death. Furthermore, if you knew so much about what your coven is based on, you would know that people HAVE died and come back to life. Johnny Cash died and came back, my grandma, my aunt, some guy who now lives in Florida, and quite a few others. Johnny Cash died a few years ago, but my aunt and grandma are both still alive today and they've mentioned what it was like. Everything they've said coincides with the lessons I've posted based on the teachings of Michael Newton who found out the cycle of the soul through hypnotherapy.
If you think this is one of those sites you can make a coven in just to teach your own religion rather then finding out info to back up your words, perhaps you should give the position of Priest to someone more suitable for the job.
I am going to stop arguing with you because it seems that I will not win. Tho I am right, you are bringing religon into this and with that I can not win. You can not understand that light deffines dark and drak deffines light. With out one we can not tell the diffrence between the two....oh and I do read your post...I do not aggree with them because well I am Wiccan and I do not belive in Heven. I do belive how ever that hell is real. The people who said that they died are lieing because once you are dead you can not come back to life.
I did not mention religion, I mentioned science and the results of hypnotherapy. We can define darkness without light because that's exactly what it is; "without light."
As for the people who died and came back, you need to pay more attention to medical reports. A person is classified as dead when their heart and brain stop working. A proper amount of shock can bring them back. Ever see on T.V. where the doctors put those square-like pads on someone's chest, shout "CLEAR!", and then they send a shock through them that makes the body jolt? That's them making the heart start again. If their body doesn't respond to certain reflex tests then their brain is said to be unresponsive. If their brain is unresponsive and their heart isn't pumping they are classified as dead, but that doesn't mean they can't be brought back.
I understand not wanting to argue. I won't argue anymore either, but seriously if you are going to lead a coven teaching about spirits you should be open to other ideas, theories, and facts about the topic you are teaching. If all teachers were close minded then we would all be learning facts that were out-dated by researchers 30-40+ years ago. Tell me, what sense does that make?
I forgot to mention that generally a person has to receive that shock within a certain amount of time after death. Otherwise it is unlikely to work.
One case, however, of that shock not being needed, was with my Aunt Kim. She was raped and beaten by a teenager then left in an alley for dead. She was bagged and tagged when she was found, her heart was not pumping, her lungs were not working, and she was completely unresponsive. They were getting ready to do an autopsy on her when she 'woke up' or, as the doctors put it, miraculously came back to life. It doesn't happen often and this is the only case I've heard about it in, but it does happen. My Aunt Kim stood in court a couple weeks later to make sure her killer was sent to jail for rape, assault, and murder.
Who said I was talking about medicaly dead...I was talking about spiritualy dead. When you chakras fail and give out (that is a few min after the heart and brain does). When your chakras fail or die your spirit is relesed from your body, then you prossed to the Relm of Spirit/astral plain (thare is no vails in the astral plain so that is just a big relm whare you can go to others freely). Okay if light went away we would have no way to define dark since thare is nothing to compare it to.
I think we might be reaching an understanding. When I mentioned that I was talking about science I assumed you understood that when I mentioned death I would be meaning the clinically dead. There's also emotionally dead, spiritually dead (as you mentioned), and maybe a few others, but I meant clinically dead. As for light and darkness, if there was one without the other then we might not use the word as much because of the absence of it's counter-part, however darkness would not altogether cease to exist without light because darkness is the absence of light. We might no longer call it darkness and, after some adaption/evolution, we may not be affected by it, but it would still be there.

The darkness was here before the sun the stars and the planets . you all have to look at it from the night sky in the woods were there is no twon or citys only trees and land . they woods are a great plane to look at the sky and take out the sars and the moon what will you be in my dear friends thats right "DARKNESS".

those are two different things,please don't bring them together
people only use Light and Darkness as an EXAMPLE for YinYang but their very diff.
without Yang , there would be no Yin
without Yin , there would be no Yang.
but Light doesn't need Darkness
and Darkness doesn't need Light.
