Help Please

In a few spells ive read through, it mentions using a thorn from a WHITE rose. Is it possible to use a thorn from a RED rose instead as its hard to get white ones from where i am but red ones are very easily attained. Will it change the affect of the spell if i use a red rose thorn instead of a white rose thorn?

i dont think it would but you could always visulize it as being a white rose and then its effect should not be a problem!
