elements

My friend once told me you can get stronger with your element or something, I found out my element is Fire. Whats that mean like do I stare at fire or does that mean I should do candle spells or what? ( aha is this a dumb question?)

The way I understood it was, the physical aspects (soil, wind, flames, water,) can help us understand the elements, but they aren't the true forms of elements themselves... the elements are really qualities of psychic energy, and people favored by a certain element will naturally work better with that quality.

So, it can affect our personalities ("fiery" personalities tend to have good instincts, restless or easily excitable, love challenges and spontaneity,) or magical techniques... like, if we both had to get together to cleanse a space, you as a fire elementalist would be best at calling up a renewing and destructive energy to raze it, while me as a water elementalist would use energy that swallows up things and pushes them somewhere else instead. We might be doing the exact same cleansing ritual, but our inner natures make the difference.
