Okay so i have this friend and she asked me a question that I can't answer. Because I dont know the answer and i told her Id ask you guys. Her question: Okay so she is really interested in Oracle Cards and a Pendulum. Shes Catholic Christian and she believes in God, only one God, and she has basically all the christian beliefs. She wants to know if, if she does do the Oracle cards and the Pendulum, if it goes against God. Like, since she believes in God, the Father, and the Angels in Heaven, are the answers that gets from both the Oracle Cards and the Pendulum, answers from Heaven and God and Spirits that were sent by God to give the answer or not? She believes that its God sending Angels to give her the answers she gets from the cards and Pendulum. The cards are Healing with Fairies by Doreen Virtue.
I didnt know the answer to this. So I was hoping you guys can help.

I don't know just how strict a Christian your friend might be, but if she adheres closely to Biblical teachings she may have a problem because in the Old Testament it says:
There should not be found in you . . . anyone who employs divination, a practicer of magic or anyone who looks for omens or a sorcerer, or one who binds others with a spell or anyone who consults a spirit medium or a professional foreteller of events or anyone who inquires of the dead. For everybody doing these things is something detestable to God.Deuteronomy 18:10-12
Perhaps this is something that she should be discussing with her priest to see what the teachings of her church are on the subject.
well, that would not be the case so much. Remember that the church wasn't made until after the new testement and the death of Yeshua. Also, King Solomon was considered one of the greatest kings of biblical times, a man after god's own heart, and the most well known source of summoning magic. He used demons to get his answers and he controlled them to do his bidding. If it was against the Bible to do magic in any form, why would he be blessed by God? The persicution against all forms of magic only came after the start of the Catholic church.
I think in this situation, it depends on what your friend believes in her heart.
The problem with going to a priest is that some are strict and some are liberal. One priest may say that he believes these are signs from God or good spirits, while another views it the opposite.
I've been asked similar questions before and my response is always this..." If you are pure in your heart with your intentions, do you think God would be mad? If the answer is no, then trust your heart and go on with it".
If she is asking questions with her God in her heart, her God and angels will be the ones answering.
