Shield Circle?

I had an interesting idea to combine a shield and a magical circle together, in a sence a circle cant be penetrated so i was wondering how the two would intereact, would you basicaly have one massive energy barrier?

Moste circels are also a shield. It is to help and proteckt you when you do your 'whatever'

And then there is circels for what your going to do and so on.
And in some proceses of casting the circle it is that you are to one or other forms to 'clens' your self and the circle. And so on.

I supose others with more knowlege of circle/shield in the 'use' that your aplying here will post more specifick and so on:)

I do my 'circles' a bit difrent then moste. Well. When it's just me doing my work.
If with others I have other aprotch. All depending on what, who,when and why. And so on:)

A circle is generally used for two purposes, at least in the spells and rituals I have seen.
1. As a protective barrier from Spiritual and Physical enemies.
2. As a summoning point for the dead.

A shield, however, usually entails the protection of Mental and Physical harm. So, combining wouldn't necessarily be bad idea, if the circumstances called for it, but don't go wasting energy every time you perform a ritual, casting both.
