beginner protection spell

i was just wondering are you suppose to feel,hear,see,or smell something when you cast the beginner protection spell

It depends, but also keep in mind that you can also feel, hear, see and smell (even taste) things psychically. It's almost like your nerves are extended out of your body psychically.
