good and evil

what is good and what is evil, who decides what is right and what is wrong, i believe that it all depends on a persons perception of it, i want to know what other people think about it

I agree with that statement!

I also agree,although mainstream religion has enforced its perceptions of evil on people.

Anton LaVey had it right! In WW2 the Allied forces perceived the Nazis as evil. The Nazis had been brainwashed to view Jews as evil. I do not doubt that the average German soldier loved his wife, and was kind to his children, but would not think it evil to kill a Jew, any more than he would think twice about shooting a rabid dog.
Evil, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.

it all just depends on culture , location etc. , the canabalist believes eating humans is good , while the typical american sees it as evil , its all about how your religions and cultures evolved over time , there is no real good or evil

hmmm well my opinion on what is good and what is evil is this;
I mostly agree with William Golding, author of the novel "Lord of the Flies" who believed that society creates the standards of what is good and evil. I believe that when we are born, we are viewed as evil by society because all we know at first is how to want and take, we only know how to survive and are willing to do whatever it takes to live. But I also believe that eveyone is born with the potential to be kind and good, and although not everyone reaches they're potential, the ones who do are even kinder because they overcame the evil needs we are born with.
So basically society sets the standards of good and evil but we, as individuals choose where we fall on the good and evil scale. (PS this is just my opinion!!! I'm not stateing this as facta and in no way think that this is the only possible answer)
