I've been thinking about all the issues concerning these two religion, and I've came up with an idea.
Maybe the Christian god and Wiccan goddess are actually siblings. Now I know what you're thinking i'm crazy right? Well maybe you instead of attacking me for saying thing, you should stop and think about it for a minute.
These two religions are very similar regardless of their differences. They both follow the same concepts but in different ways. They both seem to think demons no matter what are evil and should be controlled. (This is, though more based on the individual.)
Both of these religions seem to bash each other at every turn. I think this is because they so similar at the core.
They both despite their outward appearances seem to agree upon the same concepts. They both worship in the same fashion. Are spells not the same thing as a prayer?
These are merely my opinions on these two religions it is not in anyway intended to insult or offend. These are my ideas on why these two can not seem to co-exist.
....Well Christians believe there is only one God, so they wouldn't believe that he had a sister, because that sister would also have to be a God, but the bible clearly states there are no Gods but him so a Christain wouldn't believe that.
But that does makes sense if someone wasn't looking from a Christian perspective
Read the ten commandments with an open mind.
The problem no one wishes to be outside their comfort zone and open their mind to the possibilities.
They are afraid that their belief will be put into question and most seem to fear that.
Most seem to be insecure toward themselves and their religion.
That isn't what that means, if your reading it with a closed mind thats what it means, to put no god before him means to love nothing more than him.
Just as thou shalt not murder means not to talk bad of someone. In those times to talk of someone as being a fool was considered murder cause you were sladdering their name.
Trust me, Christians are taught that there is no God but their God, I'm not saying your wrong but that is what they believe.
Slander isn't murder, its insulting an individual. At most it could be considered social murder, but it would never be considered actual murder.
I am fairly certain you are right about the love bit...that is if the words came from "god" himself. You see he is "a jealous god". ;)
And, how am I being closed minded? In the very creation of this post I have proved that I am thinking of things from a different perspective and looking to see what others think of my idea. That shows an open mind, not a closed one.
As much as the ten commandments would indicate that the Christian God was the only to be worshipped, there is no clear indication that he didn't have siblings or other beings existed.
Therefore the possiblility may still exist that the Christian god does have siblings.
