Yes there are a lot of younger people on this site, and if any of us older people remember our childhoods; we might remember that as kids we were filled with fantasy. fairy-tales, and other things that our over active imaginations could cook up.
But instead of sitting here denouncing their presence, we should all be offering to teach them the truth. Everyone has to start somewhere, and all were not blessed with growing up in a "magickal" household like some of us. I agree with finding the older audience that you as a adult will gravitate towards. But let's not forget at one point all those kids with the wild ideas were us at one point.
They are the new generation, and I'm glad to see them here. There are many awesome practitioners and wise people here. So in the long run they stand a better chance of finding truth here than in places like myspace or wikipedia.
Yes, you are right about us older ones once being kids; with all the fantasies. But most of the youngsters on this site don't want to learn; they want to teach! There is a 13 year old on this site who "knows everything about witchcraft" and can teach all subjects.
How can we "older ones" deal with that!
As adults we are supposed to be patient and strong. Together we hold our ground and wait. Let them think they are teaching and know it all. Sooner or later they will wake up and realize that they have much learning to do themselves, and come seeking those answers.
I have seen many children on the site. But not all of them are not as bad as you make them out to be. Yes, most of them are ignorant but that doesn't mean you should be saying they all are.
There are adults on this site that seem to know less than a 'child' of 13.
It all depends on how much a person is willing to learn and how mature they really are.
So please before you start denouncing people because of their age, look around and actually get to know a person before assuming something about them.
You can't judge a book by it's cover you know.
nouveu l came here to learn l have hunger for higher knowlege am nt condemin but am not geting the food l need l dn,t want to be a fairy or wolf or anyting nt real have u ever have the desire for knowlege?lol
Linda, the 'children' of the site are often those who are over twenty, and should know better. If you spend any actual amount of time sitting watching chat and reading forums you'll realize that many people on this site are here just "For entertainment purposes only" as the site reads at the bottom of the page if you look.
These 'children' are using the site for entertainment purposes. I understand that you wish to gain more knowledge and learn more, but that said, this site really isn't made for that. Many of those here take this site as a joke and take magick in general as a joke. It's bound to happen as anyone in the world can gain access here. There is no 'test' to see how serious someone is before they gain access to the site. All it takes is an email.
If you can't handle that there are some non-serious individuals on the site, then you can leave. I know that sounds harsh, but it's the truth. Any real practitioner realizes that people will take their practices as jokes and as fun and games, but that doesn't stop them from learning, nor practicing.
I would also like to agree with Nouveau that there are many younger generation people on this site who are serious. I can name off at least four people under twenty that are serious that I know personally.
So please, before you go on a rant that there are too many 'kids' on this site, please remember that some of us 'kids' are actually more mature than some of you 'adults'.
