Truth About Dark Magick

Dark Magick is not the practice of using Magick to harm others, its very much equal to Light Magick. Dark Magick is more freely used because of how it mostly does not harm if used correctly

I practice Sorcery which is seen a Dark Magick, but I have never harm anyone. When I give blood to my Goddess, I use my own Blood or one of someone who consents to it.

This is not breaking the wiccan rede because I am harming no one, and Blood is a great offering to the Goddess

The Dark Sorceress,

Um, I am sorrt to disappoint you Sempiterna but when you cut yourself to do a blood offering, you are going against the wiccan rede. It says "harm none, do what thy will." that also includes not harming yourself. I am not saying to stop, but I just wanted to tell you that so you can know :)

Hope this helps...darksage1

and realy to tell you the truth.. "dark" magick is way more then just that..(although i do not use blood) yes its just like "light" magick..although you are using the night energy to help you with you magickal working...its more of "imbracing the dark and the night" just as some people "embrace the light and the day"

this is what "dark" magick is mostly about i practice it myself and it is quit enjoyable and a great experience and i recomend it to people even if you do not practice that..its always good to have a balance ;)...although you can do the blood thing..but again..it is really not needed for such things..your goddess already knows that you are loyal..you do not have to give blood to her..(but thats just me..you might have different ideas on it)

Whatever you believe Dark Magic to be, please do not associate the term with Wicca! Wicca is a "natural" witchcraft religion, formulated early in the last Century by Gerald Gardner,Doreen, Valiente, and others. Any use of Dark Magic has nothing to do with Wicca! But, of course, we may all practise whatever we wish. Just don't mix them up!
Bright Blessings. (Or Dark ones if you wish!)

Wicca was created in the mid 20th century.

Dark magic is just a term for magic that others might see as "bad" of "black".

Using blood in a ritual of spell is a personal decision and is good or bad depending on your perception.

I personally have used my own blood in magical working for a verity of reasons. The most common blood I use is my menstrual blood. From protection to cursing a woman's monthly release of blood is a very easy and strong way to add her personal essence to magic. The other most common way to obtain blood is the pricking the finger. Cutting your flesh open is overkill. Most magical workings require only a few drops of blood. Remember that when pricking the finger to use a pin or needle that has been sterilized in a flame for a count of 5. Also remember to clean the skin before you prick. When you are done seal the wound in a flame and wash it with soap.

Wicca is nature around us and like nature it has its LIght, Dark and even Grey. All of which is beautiful and somethings deadly. The Rule of "Harm None Do as thy will" can be interpreted many ways. I feel as long as you don't go out of your way to harm another and you make your blood offerings monthly would be fine for others. How much do you give?
