Why would a Person Cleanse themself before Ritual:

A Person in the craft should cleanse themself before a ritual for many reasons. When you cleanse your self you remove negative energy, Negative Emotions, Daily Problems, fear and other negative energies. Another reason you would do this is to show respect to you God and Goddess.

Why Would a Person Cleanse themself before a Spell:

A person in the craft should cleanse themself before a spell to pervent negative energy from going into you spell removing bad intentions. A Spell is like a prayer which is active, You would also be respecting the God and Goddess.

If your feeling overwhelmed with negativity, or just have a poor complexion this may help. Use it as often as once a week if you like. It works best in a hot shower.
Mix 4 tablespoons of sea salt with your favorite shampoo. Using a third of the mixture, scrub your scalp in small circular strokes from the top center to your face.
While doing this imagine all your negativity and ill health washing down the drain. Continue scrubbing the rest of your body. Work in a down and out motion to insure that everything is being cleansed and removed. I like to visualize a waterfall carrying my stress and sorrows away. This helps in the process by focusing your intent.
