I have recently performed a simple love spell to keep my beloved's mind on me while I am away indefinitely. It was the needle in the flame spell. Does anyone have any suggestions to keep this spell going long term or any other suggestions on what I may do to continue to have his best of thoughts still on our relationship? There are plenty of resources on spells for falling in love and bringing a loved one back from a break up (which the needle in the flame is more apt to) but I'm finding it hard to formulate on my own a spell to keep the love alive. Please help!

I am personally against love spells because they interfere with free will which is against the Wiccan law. But if you really want to do this is would recommend to change the wording in the spell to kinda twist it to make it how you want it. Or you can just send love energy to him when you meditate. Remember, if your going to cast a love spell do it at your own risk.
Blessed be
Honestly I don't love spells should even be allowed in the occult period because it dose mess with free will. I am not Wiccan but love is something special to you. It should find you and not trying to inforce it on someone.
But if you wis to do this try also lighting lavender incense to keep the feel and
energy going. Lavender represents love and friendship.
Conjuredoc is right; honey jar spells are pretty much perfect for this situation.
I also like spells that work with personal effects of a lover in a mojo bag you carry on you at all times. A classic American example of this work is a Nation Sack, although you can make bags with much less "bite," perhaps with strands of his hair, a small piece of his worn clothing, etc.
There's also the old tie one of your dirty socks to one of his dirty socks and put it under the bed with the foot part facing away from the door.
Matched lodestone work also comes to mind, as well as sneaking oils and other products for fidelity and strong relationships into his bathing products and laundry. All of these tricks can be found online - many on the Lucky Mojo website.
My Thought is you aren't MAKING someone love you...its not like they are being dragged kicking and screaming to love you, but rather you're harvesting feelings that are/have already been there. I don't think it's possible to make someone love you if they aren't capable of it on their own, in the same sense that you can't make yourself grow horns. In order to bend the energies of the universe there has to be something to work with..it has to be possible on some realm. Picking a stranger out of a crowd and performing rituals to make him have feelings for you that he never had is impossible. For this reason, I don't see love spells as going against the "will" of another, in a sense....there is already some sort of will there. Just my two cents, and perhaps I'm wrong, but that's my outlook.
I also agree with conjourdoc...aren't spells in general against the free will of everything, including the free will of the universe?

Ocean30 has put it perfectly, your manipulating feelings they already have, its like amplifying a part of their feelings to it suits your needs.
LdyGry has given you a fantastic idea in laying tricks, if you can sneak something into his shower gel from Lucky Mojo then your works will be more successful. I have so many oils & powders from there, and I go through a bottle of 1 certain oil every 2 months, I put it on when I go out, I'm sure LdyGry will have an idea which one it is haha
