The Academy of Magic, is a site with the purpose of educating people to the arts of magick. It offers free lessons for beginners to advanced magicians and educates anyone with a specific system of learning.
It contains both theoretical and practical lessons as well as occult-topic like Spiritualism which is not magic it self but it is required for a magician.
Each classroom contains maximum 12 Lessons.
Not all of the classrooms have lessons yet because no teachers found. For anyone who thinks he/she is capable of teaching twelve lessons can contact with me.
I viewed this site and I must admit this looks like something from Harry Potter or some related film. You're actually grading your students on their performance as to whether they pass or fail. Allow me to quote you on this.
"~Education Scores~
Your exercises in lessons will be scored with specific levels. That are:
"P" (Perfect): It is the highest score you can achieve. It is when your exercise is completely informative and perfectly made.
"G" (Good): It is a good score, marked as a better score than the one you need to pass.
"N" (Normal): This is the score when your exercise was just enough to pass.
"U" (Unacceptable): This is the score when your exercise is poor or it contains mistakes. You can not pass with such score.
"W" (Wrong): This is the worst score your exercise can achieve. With it you can not (of course) pass."
You're not actually running a school and therefore should not grade your students. Simply explain their mistakes or the area they are having trouble with and work with them to fix it.
I've been to several sites like this before and yours seems to be the least authentic. You even go as far as to call yourself the "Headmaster" of this magical academy of yours.
I agree. The only way to learn is to realize your mistakes and fix them. Not have them handed to you. But besides from that I wish your school the best of luck.
I actually made it as a school. The scores come with an explanation of course, not just with the grade, that wouldnt teach anything. The fact that you name it as a harry potter site means you have not every looked the forums. Sorry for saying that, but you should first look at the lessons people teach instead of just giving a look in the home page and the information table. Your post is also incomplete because you are referring only to cons (if they really exist). Do not just a book by its appearance. I suggest you to take a more careful look at the inside of the site not just some prescriptions.
This is all we were able to look at due to the settings of your site.
Also, if you didn't mean the grades to actually represent grades then why have this stated as so on the site? Perhaps you should make a note of this so that your students and other visitors to the site wont be mislead or misunderstand you.
Your lessons may be helpful or what have you, regardless, the way things were presented in the pages viewable makes it sound less than credible. I'm sorry, but my original thought still stands.
Either way, as Ardor previously stated, best of luck to you.
Well, I never thought that there could be such a misunderstanding. Scores are just a formal system of the academy but have no practical purposes. They serve only for approving people to advanced lessons and nothing more.
