Many people believe they have lived before. Many others believe no such thing. Nearly all these cases prove to be untrue. However, there was a case (an Irish woman,I can't recall the name) who, under hypnosis, described places and events she could not possibly know about. That was, to say the least, uncanny!
Google "reincarnation" Apprentice. That is the basis for people recalling past lives.
There are many amazing cases of children who can go into great detail over their past lives. There was one who wanted to go "home" and took their parents to a house, and began speaking to the woman who lived there about who he was and what he remembered. The woman was in tears because he could have never known what her loved one knew. At around 7 or 8, most of the children begin to forget altogether all that they had remembered of their past.
A famous hypnotist was regressing someone to a point in her childhood and went too far back. She began describing another life in a different time. He began to regress people on purpose into their past lives. He wrote many books. I totally forgot his name. I can look it up if anyone is truly interested. But he is the one who accidentally stumbled on the fact that hypnosis could be used to discover past lives.
Here is a website (honestly I just googled and skimmed it). It seems to have some good general information on recall.
When my best friend and I were about 5 or 6 he always told me about me and him having a past life. He said that my mother is not my mother and I had a different mother. He said that me and him partied all the time. (and im guessing we are best friends maybe because of things we did together in our past lives?) But he always said we had past lives and I never belived him. Then when we turned 7 or 8 he just stopped.
Yep. Its more common than people think for children to remember past lives. You're spirit kin which basically means that you follow each other through lives.
There are hundreds of books out there on the subject. And I am not kidding on that number. Since it is a highly excepted belief in many many religions and paths it is written in various ways by plenty of people.
Go to your local library and search the terms "reincarnation" and "past lives".
There was even a quote by Jesus in a portion of his history that was not accepted in the bible and it was speaking of his "many sojourns". I wonder why it wasn't accepted...lol! I wish I could find it again, but I have had no luck. I only found it once in a book that attempted to reconstruct the Bible by adding historical finds of documents written by the same authors.
Due to the fact that they have destroyed so much history and rewritten the bible to suit them, there is so much history lost! Now its all just a rewritten book on Horus and Mithras. Its such a pity.
My knowledge on the Muslim faith is very limited. I've tried to learn but the translation of the Quran to english is very confusing to someone like myself that doesn't already have knowledge of the religion.
I've tried to ask Muslims I know if they are aware of a book that breaks down the Quran and Muslim teachings in a basic but accurate format, but I've never been offered a recommendation.
It is one of the only world religions I know virtually know nothing about. So I don't know of any possible links with past lives or if they even exist. I'm sorry I can't help you there.
