I was wondering if there are some basic herbs and oils that I should keep around the house for spells. I noticed that some herbs oils are used more than others. So I wanted to know if I should keep some in constant supply and then just get the less-used things when I need them. I'm not quite sure if I'm wording my question right lol, so sorry if it confuses you. Thanks!

For oils I feel the only one necessary is olive oil. You can mix it with herbs in a bottle and set it in a warm, dry, dark place to infuse the plant materials.
Mineral oil can be used for widdershin magic, but I prefer castor oil.
If you have a wide variety of herbs in your kitchen cabinet then you aren't in any need of buying other herbs. Most foods used for cooking have every magickal correspondence you'll ever need. Key ones are basil, thyme, pepper, salt, cinnamon, clove, bay leaves, and sage.
I also use lemon juice, honey, milk, oats and vinegar (not together! Lol)
Teas are awesome to find herbs that are not used for culinary purposes. Passionflower, chamomile, lavendar, and rosehips are common herbs you can find in tea. I like to call them singles packs for spells! Just rip one open and use. =D
The only other scent I buy that you can't get from a grocery store is dragon's blood. Its my personal favorite. You'll find one of your own though I'm sure. Everyone has their own staples.
Love WhiteRav3ns post once again, I am agreeing with you a lot lately! We are on the same wavelength.
There are many basic herbs for you to grow easily, and are quite common anyway. You will find you didnt even notice them! First, I will start by telling you the basic herbs you should have around. These include:-
Sage.
Rosemary. (Great all-purpose herb, can substitute for almost anything!)
Lavender.
Thyme.
Chives.
Cedar Tree (outdoors!)
Chamomile.
Ginger.
There are also other plants that you will find you have in your garden that has a magickal property, every plant does! Common plants such as bluebells, daffodils and others similar can all help you in magick.
Also, nuts that you buy in a '' mixed nuts '' bag can too, take the brazil nut for example!
Now, more towards oils, I agree with WhiteRav3n. Olive Oil is a all purpose oil that you can add to anything. Of course, other oils come in handy too but Olive Oil is very common and easy to buy. :)
