Just wanted to say how excited i am about Litha. :) . Only 7 days to go. SO what is everyone planing to do on Litha.
I'm gunna make cupcakes and I am going to be Contacting the Fae all day :) can't wait :)

I will be celebrating my daughter's fifth birthday. She was born on the sabbat. She's so lucky. She has the longest birthday of the entire year!

What is Litha?
Is it the first day of summer?

I´ve got exams the next day so I´m only setting my altar and worshiping a bit...
And by the way, Litha is the day when we officialy enter summer, and its de longest day of the year.

me and my coven are getting together and doing a ritual for the Sabbath then do other things like drink eat and make merry =]

What kinds of things do you celebrate on litha and what goddess do you worship??? also is there any specific kinds of spells that work best on litha?

we celebrate the Sun, the god. Gods of the suns and the pregnant mother. Something to do on Litha is to make Cupcakes and honor the fae :)

Litha actually spans three days. Here in England, the shortest night is the 20th, longest day 21st. It may be different in other parts of the Earth. The sun God is at His most potent.After this He becomes less powerful, as the days start to get shorter. After Litha is when Mother Earth is most "fruitful", and by Mabon, she becomes pregnant again in order to give "birth" the following Spring.
