Hi, I'm a beginner wiccan and i did a object consecrating spell but before you say anything, id like to say i read all about the wiccan religion and i have been precticing meditation and visualization long before i started trying spells. Anyways, i did the object consecration spell on my bracelet, then i did an post-consecration object charging spell and it worked really well! I did the power circle, i cleansed the air and everything. Now i was wondering two things, does this make me a wicca officially? And can i do bigger spells now, or should i stick to easy spells like protection and luck spells?
how you label yourself is up to you.
If you'd like to be identifiable,
can dress in a witchy way,
with various symbols.
It's best to start off with safety spells and such.
Then likely best to gain internal abilities,
meditation, clairvoyance, knowledge,
contacting spirit-guide, divination.
Once you feel ready, can do more external magic,
enchantments, hypnosis, making things appear.
Generally to see whether or not to do something,
I see how I feel about it, hear what my spirit-guide recommends, and potentially do some divination
(coins/tarot) to make a decision.
Well no, to be truly wiccan, you must be anointed into the craft by a high priest of a Coven. This is not an exact "Avalibility" to all of us, so most of us use Pagan.
2nd well i would stay with spells that have an "Unseen" Effect before you move onto the psychical world.
Magick is magick. It can be part of any religion. Wicca is a religious path, you don't have to practice magick to be a Wiccan. Ask yourself if you believe in, and practice, the religion of Wicca. If you do, then you are a Wiccan! :)

Darksun, i completely disagree with you. Not all of us who study Wicca, have access to other witches or covens, so we either become solitaries and practice on our own; or we wait for someone to come a long and help us practice. The idea that only a witch can make a witch is completely false. Anyone can look up a self-initiation ritual and initiate themselves.Besides, does it make a witch anymore wise, skillful,or powerful to be initiated by another witch? No, it doesn't. There are people who grow up in certain kinds of families where the parents don't approve and the kids, or teenagers don't have access to someone who can teach them. I think, though I don't know for sure; that there are probably a lot of Wiccans who are self-initiated.
