There's a little creek by my house (it's about a 15 minute walk) and it's in the middle of some corn/bean fields. At one point, it turns into a little pond (just big enough to float around in) and it's surrounded on all sides by trees. It's really quite beautiful and I love going there. However, when I am there, I feel like there's something... off?... about it. I was thinking it could be a "portal," for lack of a better term. I just feel like I'm not alone, and it seems like the kind of place that the fae would hang around. What's more interesting, is that I can only (easily) find it in the fall and spring. Otherwise, I get lost so easily. I can see it from a distance, but it just seems to disappear when I get closer if I go there at the "wrong" time of year. I've read about faerie islands that do this... Anyway, I was wondering if you guys could give me your opnions (no flames though, I'm fragile). Thanks and blessed be!

I'll use the four-leaf clover one, since I'm constanly finding them, I'll use the bread too. Although I don't quite understand how turning my shirt inside out helps anything.
There are many reasons that you are experiencing this problem. The most common reason is because of the weather. A shallow pond will dry up with out the necessary water it takes to fill it. The reason this happens seasonally is due to seasonal weather patterns. Or simply during the rainy season the pond is there and during the dry season it is gone. These areas can feel magical due to the life giving essence of the water element when it pools up and life can feed of.
I've actually found some sort of "portal" near my house as well. Once I tried to examine it with my wand, and the next day some weird people showed up and I couldn't see their auras like I do with everyone. Your place seems different. I think the place you talk about could be the entrance to a kind of faery sanctuary (where else would they be?). It's possible that your getting lost experiences could be the result of protective charms, though I'm not sure why they'd be used. It's possible that some portals only open at certain times of the year, so the charms could be based on that. In the book series The Dresden Files, there are actually two factions of faery, one connected to summer, the other to winter (there's also a thing about how they exchange artifacts to keep the peace, but I doubt that's relevant to this). I think that you have found a magical location, your description certainly seems fitting.
This sounds like RP..,hollywood magic again.not everything is magical.,well goodluck with the fae stuff cuz u would never find one.faeries are secretive,spiritual beings,not the hollywood type.
seems like a fairy place...high energy measures? its beleived that if you look through a rook with a natural hole through it, you can see into the fairy world. meditate around the area and tap into the energy and see what it can tell you
