Hanged for Being Gay??!

I don't know if you guys are aware about this, but, Robert Segwanyi fled to the UK for being imprisoned and tortured for being himself, for being who he is, for being gay! Upon arrival in the UK he applied for asylum but was denied by a judge who said it was not dangerous to be gay in Uganda, a country trying to pass a "kill the gays" bill. He is scheduled to be removed on Aug. 18 on Kenya Airways. He has been burned with molten plastic for being a homosexual, and denied rights for himself. My thoughts are with him 24/7. I hope yours are too. I will provide a link to the article. You can also sign a petition on that site. Some people are so inhumane, killing others for being who they are! A change needs to happen.

... harsh... and really? who cares if your gay?! the only problem is the amount of disease in uganda, and how "religous" (yes, quoatations) they are. but who cares? some people are just dumb.

I'm sadly not surprised by this. Asylum for queer folk is not always granted. I've heard of 'underground railroad' type safety route for queer people some middle eastern countries, but haven't heard of any such thing in Uganda.

aparently, in uganda, it is sooo awful (they have movies on this) that they have taken "christianity" to a new level of hate. they use the religion as a way to express personal disgust, or in other words, they cant explain it in any other way than it was and is "gods plan" to kill all gays. i thin it is a load of bs

being gay is just as natural as being straight. honestly, it is part of a human being. and i consort with my god(s) nightly. anyways. this is getting stupid. im done. ive said all i needed to say, take it or leave it.

wow this topic has created a lot of arguements. its a never ending debate. always has been.
