Tarot Decks

hey everyone. I was going to talk about the tarot decks. Does anyone use their own that they made themselves? I have been thinking of it, but I'm not sure if I need anything special

I am making my own, I'll admit it is very hard to do. Background, image and names all make it harder to make, but from people I know they work twice as accurate as brought ones.

tarot decks are in personal opinions either better, or just as good if you make them yourself as a bought deck.

some think that making them yourself gets you a stronger bond, a stronger connection with the deck. that drawing your own makes it easier to get your own meanings.

but others think that if you make one, its just as strong as a store bought deck.

its a matter of personal view...i personally have both.

i think it also depends on how well you connect to a certain deck period. i atempted to make a deck once, but my issue was that i have absolutely no artistic ability whatso ever and could not connect to the cards i had made

I agree with leviathan. I have tried making a deck but I just don't have the artistic ability needed. My preferred deck is the dreamers tarot (though I also own the guilded and a few others).

I am terrible at art that's why I brought my Rider Waite tarot deck its great. Also what else can you do with a tarot deck apart from give readings?

I do a lot with Tarot aside from readings. I use it in my writing. I also use Tarot images and archetypes in some spells, also as a tool for meditation.

Oh, I was going to say that I would think a handmade dec would be very powerful, but I am intimidated by the time it would take. I am blinging one of my Rider Wait decks, and that is making it mine, and a work of art. I am using glitter and blacking out the borders with a sharpie. It is so fun!

Kara once mentioned using the Tarot cards like a spell.. great idea.
