This morning I decided to try and centre myself with one of the exercises on this site, I done it a couple of hours ago and since then i feel "odd" in my tummy area, its kind of like a feeling of butterflies but also emptiness (thats the only way to describe it really lol)
Is this feeling quite normal, and is it a good thing?
Did you do the exercise on an empty stomach? Are you anemic? Are you a vegetarian?
Some people can't do strong meditation techniques unless they've eaten first. If you don't have enough "mediumship" in your body (Blood, fluids, food), the Qi has a hard time being anchored and can cause fluttering sensations, anxiety, headaches, and the like.
If it continues after eating a full meal, then perhaps you aren't grounding yourself. Usually when people fail to ground they have side effects different than a fluttery and empty stomach, so that's why i think it isn't a grounding problem.
I am not anemic or Vegetarian, nor did i attempt the centering on an empty stomach.
I know i don't drink half as much as i really should so maybe that could have been the problem.
I have always found grounding myself easy but having attempted the centering and feeling the empty/butterflies i was hoping that was a good sign but obviously not, i must keep practicing :).
It might not be a "negative" symptom. Only you can be the judge of that. Did you feel more centered afterwards or more scattered? I think that's your best barometer.
I don't get really excited to do the exercise, i just felt i need to centre myself.

I certainly didn't feel scattered after, if anything i felt better and have been feeling more positive too.
Also the feelings of emptiness and butterflies wasn't horrible in anyway, because i have some food intolorances and also 2 severe allergies to food it actually made a nice change for my tummy area to feel "light".

Not to dismiss Lady Grey because she holds valid spiritual points, but I would also like to add something.
When we relax, we allow our bodies to work properly. Doing the exercise could be causing your digestive tract to work better, and cause your stomach to empty. Depending on what you eat before, certain foods pass through quicker. Even though it seems as though we are doing very little, our mind working alone can cause us to burn calories as well which can cause hunger.
Ritual and meditation can cause the munchies. That's one reason why people traditionally had cakes and ale afterward! We can work up quite the appetite. Not only does it help us to ground again (which is important), but it also helps kill the hunger. I personally prefer a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich and a cup of tea. Its all about eating what you enjoy and can savor. Being aware of our bodies and coming back down to earth.
As for your food allergies, you may want to try adding probiotics to your diet, which can be found in things such as yogurt and cottage cheese. You can also take them as a suppliment. Adding coconut oil can also rid our bodies of excess yeast (candida) commonly misunderstood as a "sick stomach". Usually food allergies stem from our stomachs being in disarray. Our stomachs being "sick" causes our immune system to lower. Then our bodies begin to register odd things as foreign and attack them when they are not truly harmful. To overcome food allergies we need to nourish our immune systems through our digestive system.
