Firstly I respect mods and this is in no way nothing against them, as always when I join chat I find myself joining in the middle of a topic, sometimes its something that interests me other times I am not. But when it is and the conversation is stopped by a Mod because of it is leading to argument and such, when I ask to learn on the subject its already stopped, I can't even get guidance on it as I know nothing. Surely the must be another way around this as any topic could be stopped at some degree due to this if people start getting argumentative, surely just a calm down can be issued instead.
I feel I am missing out on learning and progressing.

I did not see this happen as I was in coven. However, I feel the same way at times. I feel people get too much into their own belief, and start arguing. This leads to the moderators having to step in. It would be easier if the people that were getting out of hand could control themselves or get a back bone XD
never happened to me, but there have been times i wished the MODs stepped in. i think you should post a new topic asking about whatever the subject was, or, mail someone in the topic you felt knew what they were talking about. other than that, research it yourself i guess.

When you first join chat a moderator calling for a topic change should be a final thing regarding public chat, but that's not all we're limited to.
You can still pm people you feel may be able to answer any of your questions, email people, and ask people from your coven. Topic changes are just what's visible to the general public, you're not at all completely restricted from still asking questions and learning.
Thats the thing, the was I got a brief intro to the topic, never really worked out who was talking about it. I asked for help on where to look to read up myself for a good source to be blanked by the whole room and the two mods in there. Is seems to be that much of a final no one can help the other. I would ask on the forum, but the is that many people who would spam it with things which could not even be true and arguements would start there eventually.

Would be nice to get a reason on topic changes. Once and awhile were having a good debate no name calling no yelling just merely pointing out our views and expanding our knowledge. Then a topic change is called and most just leave because the topic change leads to more personal matters then magick topics.

Mods have various reasons for changing the topics, and do not have to provide a reason for it.

Oh right cause mods are incapable of error i forgot how that goes. To bad sarcasm doesn't work well on here either. Is it so hard to explain why? Are they to lazy to explain themselfs or do they think members are below them.

Mods are capable of error as well as any other person. No, mods are not above other members but in a sense you must respect the authority that mods carry. It is the functionality of the site. When a topic change is called, it is generally because that topic will either promote negativity in the chatter or has been discussed several times and should not be mentioned further. If you wish to continue the conversation, go to PM or mailing: it isn't too difficult. No, mods are not too lazy to explain why. If they wished to they could and might. However, it isn't a requirement.
