can anyone explain what magic really is? LATELY i was wondering is there any person here who genuinely practice magic(any kind of, so called... magic)and if there is, who are they?(by the way, its no offence intended...i am just asking out of curiosity)
We all practice magic, so I don't know what you mean by that. Magic has a different definition for everyone. I think it's just how the world is. Like how the seasons change, the colors, the earth and the sky. I believe everything that happens is magic, even if it's bad. Hope that fits what you're asking!
well i pratice magick with involes the seas or water so im like a sea witch. but there is some witches out there who pratice sorcery with fire , earth and air or other elements like darkness or light.
Just because you use water in your magic doesn't mean your a sea witch. It's probably just your elemental. And darkness and light aren't really things people use, so I don't know what you mean exactly. Do you mean like good and bad?
I agree with mymagic I dont think they are controllable energies the only thing I can think of is a concealment spell which is like shrouding yourself in shadow (darkness).
Bry yes I believe your element is water but I'm sure with practise you could master more elements.
Magic is simply the manipulation or creation of things for example, elemental magic is manipulating fire, water, air, earth, spirit, to do what you want. And love magic is probably easier because through magic, you are manipulating the chances of he/she loving you. That is how magic is defined. I hope this solves your curiosity.
That is a good question. Magic to me is the manipulation of energies within our universe for an intended purpose. Magic is not good, it is not bad, it is only as the caster sees fit to judge it. Magic is designed to benefit the caster, as well as others around the caster, if done correctly and for just reasons. I like to think of all energy as a giant and elaborate spider web. Every time somebody raises energies, they pluck that area of the web, sending vibrations to the spider who inhabits the web. Some people would call this spider a higher power, or the universal energy. Whatever you call it, it responds to your plucking of the web and the vibrations created. Now with magic, the result is never 100%. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it goes wrong, or works but not in the way you intended. But that is where the fun comes in. Magic is very expirimental, and very much like trial and error. You do, and keep doing what it is you are doing, see if it works. If it does, then happy day you are a success, but if it fails or goes wrong, you change it and keep trying until you get it right.
As people have mentioned before, everyone has their own definition of magic. This is my definition (the only one that would make sense; asking how magic works/what is it is like asking how to breath in my opinion). Anyways, i hope this helps.
