i was looking around the site and i noticed this in the spell writing tips

i dont beleive thats true .I think its what has meaning to you, and that is what i have always learned . What do you guys think?

there are certain general color correspondences... for example green for luck/prosperity, black for protection/banishing, blue for healing, etc...there are many lists both on this website and elsewhere. The current trend in magic is to do whatever feels best to you regardless of what tradition and various sources recommend. It is, after all is said and done, your own magical path, it is up to you to decide which direction you want to go.

All ingredients have their certain purpose, it would be wise not to use a green candle for a love spell or a red candle for a money spell. All candles have their certain branch on magic such as Red is for Sexuality, strength, Green is for money, success, White for purity and spirituality etc.
