Alright, time to address a subject that few of us consider seriously enough: could a user of magic with enough power cheat death, perhaps even indefinitely? Now please, no garbage about becoming a vampire or spiritual eternal life, i mean this thread to be a hub of serious discussion on the subject. Im sure even if the end result itself is impossible, the discussion of magical theory about it will prove stimulating. if you have any thoughts to add, please feel free
You could just be REALLY lucky all the time. even if you cheat death, you could be one old fart for the rest of your life. plus, the bottle is only able to sustain at most 130 years... :L idk if that is what you want.
speaking from personal experience, a few years ago i had a medication interaction that caused me to stop breathing. I wasn''t alone, but my boyfriend was sleeping. I collapsed on the living room floor, unconscious. If it wasn't for my dog who is my familiar, going upstairs to the bedroom and barking at my boyfriend until he woke up. I would not be here today. By the time my boyfriend got to me i was blue and faintly breathing. So no i don't believe that magick per se can cheat death or grant eternal life, but following a magick path can impact things that could safe your life.

With death comes life... if you're going to take that in a literal understanding then if you somehow miraculously figure some way to transfer and take someone else life and add it on as an extension to your own life, then you very possibly can cheat death *yes I know this is leaning to the whole vampire thing but I'm being serious here*
I know a lot of people are just going to straight forward say no. But please everyone keep an open mind. What we don't know doesn't mean is in possible for example a 100 years ago people probably didn't know how to treat a simple allergy... basically they just died but look at us now we can treat almost all the diseases present ALMOST. So at the moment no one knows how to cheat death but that doesn't mean is impossible all together.... but I really don't think its a good idea to do that, especially the way its worded, to CHEAT death.
@ GrimReperT, its ok, I just included the bit about no vampirism references in there to keep the conversation serious. As Im sure you can tell, Im less interested in the actual ability to do this than just starting a good discussion to get us all thinking about larger things such as this. Thought it might be interesting, and so far I havent been disappointed
