I go to this site off and on, mostly when I have questions or just want a bit of a refresher, but now I'm having a problem with my spirituality. I currently live with my aunt and uncle who are devote Christians, I have told them of my beliefs and they are perfectly okay with what I believe although they truly don't agree with/ understand them. My problem is even though I am allowed to believe what I want I cannot practice, which I'm feeling a much stronger urge to do now. I feel like I'm losing a connection to my beliefs through my lack of practicing and I would greatly appreciate some advice on how to keep my chin up and beliefs strong.
Practice. Meditate. There are any number of ways to keep tapped into the spiritual path you have chosen with out have grand rituals or even letting others know what you are doing. It takes a bit of patience and time to figure out how to do it.
I have learned to incorporate practice into daily life.
Magic does not require the use of any tools, therefore you can easily practice without them knowing. Work on becoming more attuned to your environment. Meditate as a way of working on yourself, and connecting with the universe. Even simple spells do not require the use of tools, unless you feel they do.
meditate, you could work on astral projection, and practice in the astral. there are many ways you can cast with it looking like normal things. a bath with sea salt can be purifying, but you could say you're having a bath. making a chamomile tea can also double as a healing potion. if things get really rough, find a place somewhere to have your circles [woods, park, ect]
that all being said, if you're following the wiccan path, you don't need to cast spells, circles, and so on to practice. take a walk through the park, sit in the yard [if you have one] make a bird feeder and hang it by your window. take 5 minutes every day to stop and look around at what we have. wicca is nature as well as wisdom. read, learn, study. these things, while they don't seem it, count as practicing your faith.
I've gone through the same problem during several points of my life. To help me through I listened to pagan music and read pagan books mostly mythology. Another thing that helped me greatly was prayer and meditation. Going out in nature or under the full moon and just talking to the Gods and spirits made me feel more connected to Them.
