We need to make the forums more lively. The best way is to organize and post more on them. If anyone wants to help make the forums lively just try to breath life into them.
I know but none are good enough to get into a reasonably heated debate. They're lively then and I could actually read through them without skimming over comments. Forums were bad but know their just plain. We need to just have arguments at a tolerable rate. Not all the time but something everybody will want to post on.
I wouldn't say the forums are "plain". It's generally a mix of questions and informative articles people write, as well as the topics that cause heated discussion. If more people would post their own articles and ideas, the forums would be more informative and intetesting. If everyone who complained about the site would contribute we would be better off. If you don't think the forums are lively or good enough- add to them.
We actually get quite a few heated debates, that skimming you're doing is the laziness and lack of interest. It's not our job to make sure each debate is wort your while.
This topic seems to come up fairly often. Rather then spending the time stating it over again, find something new to write about. That is what many of us do when we have the time. Perhaps even a journal post of your own experiences and experiments in a specific area.
i agree with the lively thing, but most of the people are normally on in the morning and evening, rarely in the afternoon. [it's my day off atm] i find, though, things are rather organized here, only a couple of times am i unsure where a post should go.
They're plain because people keep repeating what somebody else already said. I have added matter of fact I could see my name in almost every other spot at one time. You don't need to "spoon feed me". But don't give nothing to eat at all.
When putting thought to it, perhaps the repetitive topics are occurring in the only bigger topics we have because they're often based on questions. We have the occasional, very interesting, very new, and very fresh topic arise but the majority of our members can't comment on those sort of topics so larger discussions like that don't happen.
Maybe that's the issue here. I think you could more easily find better or specialized topics in covens since the public forum has become a haven for beginners and their occasional, unearthly desires.
Instead of complaining, might you post an interesting topic yourself?
Also, as Amity said, it isn't our job to make the forums worth your own while. People have diffing opinions on what they define as 'interesting.' A lot of the decent, informative topics actually get lost within the forums.
Other than that, I have noticed people making a conscious effort to post informative posts. Maybe you should dig a little deeper instead of just skimming the forums.
I also completely agree with Amity's last post. When a fresh, interesting topic arises, a lot of the members here do not have enough knowledge on that subject to strike up a heated discussion.
