I am seeing a lot of charmed spells on the spells page. I am pretty tolerant of others beliefs (my own are out there) but do people have no originality? Why must they steal spells from charmed??? And isn't that plagiarism? I just don't understand why people can't create their own incantations.
Besides The Secret Circle Charmed is the only show which focuses on witches no matter how unrealistic and the spells are....catchy which I guess is why people tend to copy those spells more than other tv/movie spells. As for why people can't create their own spells some people just find it difficult to write their own and a friend told me they find spells written by others easier to cast, why I don't know. In the end it's a lack of motivation if they can find spells that fit their situation prewritten
Any spell found anywhere is 'suspect', by that I mean that any 'real' witch would 'know' what is wrong with it and change it so it would 'work' . Spells are like 'knives' don't give knives out to children..........
there's a lot of people in there teens here, and i'm guessing they watch charmed because it's a world thats more magical than our own, and they feel that's what it means to be a witch, so the spells must therefore be real?
i've never watched charmed, never interested me, i've seen a couple shows/movies involving witchcraft, they tend to upset me to some degree, there's only two i actually like and of those, one i would recommend with a warning of 'you can't bring people back from the dead nor jump off the roof and float slowly down.' i would add the blowing on a candle to light it and have a spoon continue to stir your tea, but i want those to be real lol.
overall, just ignore it, if someone asks about a spell, you can explain [nicely] why it won't work, or vote down the spells that have been added that are fluffy. after that, hope people are smart enough to ask themselves 'does this sound like something that would work.'
Charmed; Buffy The Vampire Slayer; Harry Potter: and all the others,are TV and Movie entertainment. Great fun,of course, but none of it is real.
And that's the problem! The young really believe it!
That's normal of course. When I was young I thought Errol Flynn really was Robin Hood!
It is up to the elders to guide the young away from the nonsense.
But naturally, as ever, the young will not always listen!
they're stubborn and arrogant. i'm not saying everyone is, or that my generation wasn't. but at least take into account what those with more experience say. you may disagree, but look into it further.
Its better then real I love Buffy the vampire slayer I'd love to have Willow's powers from there just watch the last few episodes of season six and you'll see why its amazing you can like feel just how amazing it would be to have that kind of power but its not real but if magic limits us why not use tech to start fires someone could make something that bolts fire from our hands rather then lighters for stuff and just as cool as magic fire or small limit jet packs to lower down slowly yet fall at the same time
