I heard some people use playing cards instead of tarot... Does that work?

never heard that tarot cards to be played. I know that tarot cards to make the magic rituals

i knew a guy that used playing cards ratherin than tarot cards,When i asked him why he said when ur really good at tarot your able to "hear the cards" and normal tarot cards tend to scream at him so he switch to using playing cards

Yes playing cards work. card reading has been around for ages even before tarot offically came into being. In fact, some historians believe tarot evolved from playing cards.

Cartomancy, divining with playing cards, is extremely fun and a great way to read. I personally began reading through cartomancy first, at the age of eleven. After a while, I picked up tarot. But I couldn't let go of cartomancy! So I used to lay down tarot in a spread and then laid playing cards over that. I loved it because many times identical meanings would show up in the same position. This made me extremely confidant about divining in general. Eventually though, I became lazy and forgot the meanings involved in cartomancy. =( I will one day go back to it. But scrying, tarot, and runes are my main ways.

Yes! I once had a reading done by a Gyspy (Gyspy Whitemoon) who used regular playing cards. they worked just as well! the cards foretold quite a bit that turned out to be true.

yes the general use of playing cards to tell the future is widely known i myself use playing card on occasions.
