Can a christian altar be used for white magic you know like healing spells, love spells, money spells etc?
if not could anyone tell me how to build an altar for these above stated purpose??
yeah you could but i advise you to make an altar to your animal or your element like for me im a water element so i have a altar that has water Chrystal but still the basic altar. So it really depends on what you are and who you are really so yes you can use a cristain altar but only for healing spells.trust me ive had the same problem.
No one has "an element," just an element you are better at working, and there is no reason to concentrate or centralize on this element (this should in fact he avoided because it encourages unbalance), and most magical practitioners have nothing which could be called "their animal."
Moving on, how do you think the Christian God would feel about it? If this altar is from a more conservative Christian tradition it probably wouldn't be a good idea to do any magick on it. If it is from a more liberal and accepting tradition it may be fine (I'd feel fine borrowing an altar from a nice MCC church).
If this is your own personal Christian altar you obviously know what kind of Christian beliefs it has been imbued with. Set your hands on it, clear your mind, and just ask if it's okay. Altars are gateways to the divine and magical tools have a sort of personality all their own - someone will answer you.
Yes. I would focus on icons and/or statues of figures you connect most with your healing, novena candles, holy water or charged rose water, incense like frankincense, rose petals, etc. I'd choose a blue, white, or gold cloth for the altar. Put there what you feel drawn to. An altar is a sacred space that helps connect to your spirituality and draw your mind to the right focus for your magickal work.
yes you can use a christian altar for any spell and i wouldnt listen to DarkSoul12 because if you look at his profile he claims to be a member of a werewolf pack and a half vampire so i wouldnt take anything he says at face value
The short answer is Yes, of course you can use a Christian altar for your magic arts! Lots of folks do this. I don't think many Pagans or Wiccans do, but I wouldn't know as I'm neither Pagan nor Wiccan, I'm a Christian pastor and practice Hoodoo.
Christian altars are ALWAYS used for Hoodoo spell casting. I can give you more info about it later, I have to head to class right now. I'll try to get back on here tonight and give you a better answer. For now, I would suggest you do Google search foe "Hoodoo Altar Work" or "Hoodoo Saint Spells" and that should give you some help in how to use a Christian Altar for spell casting. Hoodoo is magic arts practiced by Hoodoo Witch Doctors, they are neither Pagans nor Witches.
Another thing you might want to look into is Angle Magic, which is magic based on using Angel Oracle cards made by Doreen Virtue. I can write up more info on this too when I've got more time. But for now you can search for info on Google and that should help you out.
I am a Hoodoo Witch Doctor and use Christian Altars and Angel Magic all the time. I'll try to give you a better answer on Christian altar use (tell you what I do) tonight.
thanks everyone for your help indeed you have all amde me knowledgable about this subject.... and no one is excluded from my learning an advice is an advice which i will gladly take and think upon
wishing you all a wonderful journey through knowledge...
of course it can [depending on the love spell] they're all positive spells to help people, so it will be fine. perhaps switching out the candles on the alter or the alter cloth [instead of white, green for healing/money, red or pink for love] but it'll work just fine. you just need to have all the needed ingredients.
