Mostly correct. Things like banishings and invocations and other things which are wholly spiritual are often immediate. When you use magick to heal or get a job or do some other physical thing you're asking the spiritual to change the non-spiritual, which requires that the spiritual take a more indirect route, thus also taking time and relying upon probability enhancement.
Just because chirion said that Chirion said that magic is using the spiritual means to affect the physical an bring about change , that does not mean that all magic is brought about by spirits . They are not the same
Right. "Spirit" in this use refers to just about everything above the physical, not necessarily beings, and often indicates the subtle ever-present spiritual force in the world.
If you refer to this;

That's not much of a spell. Why no anointing? What is the incantation? What does one focus on? Why would one wish to draw a pentagram? What correspondences are used?
I think what Chrion meant was that some spells are spiritual in nature, not meaning that the magic, energy, or spell is carried out or channeled through or by the spirits, but rather that some spells and workings physically affect change on the physical plane, where as some spells and workings affect change in the spiritual realm, for instance if you are trying to banish a negative presence or energy, that magic and energy is affecting change in a non physical capacity, within the spiritual realm. This can also be said with invocations and evocations. However spells and workings that affect physical change in the physical world that we exist in, the magic and energy is directed in a way, since many believe that magic comes from the spirit within, that starts from the spiritual realm and is then routed to the physical plane. Think of trying to astral project for instance, you live in the physical world, but when you AP, your are trying to project your conscious mind through spirit, into the spiritual realm where magical energy resides; hence why people charge, build up, or gather their magical energy. Hence the relativity of time for each spell or working may be different, some spells and workings like healing that Chiron mention, affect physical change on the physical level, there for the magic and energy to heal a person of a physical affliction or sickness, will take longer, as opposed to evoking a spirit or deity, or banishing energy or a presence. I hope this makes sense and that I clarified some things.
