There is really no need for control over that if you see or hear something you don't what to hear jest ignore it. I hear all kinds of weird stuff from people in their headsthat walk by me on the streets and i don't give a damn, i jest keep on walking.
i really need to control mine cause i feel everything everyone feels&hear everything everyone thinks around me, it kinda makes me scared to go anywhere
For me I was taught to create a barrier around my mind walling my thoughts within. This blocks out most random emotions however strong emotions from individuals I can feel as general moods as well. For example when getting on stage I can feel the overall mood of the crowd even through this barrier. The next step was how to extend myself out to pick up more deeply on individuals but I would suggest learning to shield your mind first.
How do you create your shields when casting spells? Same principle just different area and reason. It's realativly easy to set up the barrier (I visualized a brick wall surrounding my mind) the hard part is learning to mantain it without thinking about it. Actually when I read your post yesterday it was probably the first time in months I'd actually thought about it.
i have to agree with 999naruto999, this is a gift and you should be greatful, and i dont understand how you just found out, you say your afraid to go anywere? why? cuz of what you hear and feel? you can control it, my sister has this gift she had it all her life i have never head of anyone just getting it, anyway there are spells you can do to help with this but if i was gifted like you i wouldnt want to, i would use it for the good id use it to help people and id learn every thing there is to know about it, remember powers like yours are gifts not to take lightly or to try and block. you are gifted go with it and learn..
i think the best thing to do is learn to protect your mind and reserch. i am not an empath but a psy-vampire witch i think is very close. i have been reserching on empaths and you should learn to enhance your powers. that way it will teach you to control it. i would also sugest you meditate when it gets to overwealming.it will help you focus on controling your power.
I dont act as if its a curse and ive had it all my life but its been hidden, my grandfather that sadly died when i was 1 somehow hid the main part of empath in my head, ive had the basics all my life, like i can tell what people feel but when i did a memory spell it reminded me of him telling me about it and how it is too powerful for me when i was young and it brought the full power back, at first i was confused but then the voices started getting stronger. Right now ive blocked it again until i learn to protect myself because i have enough on my mind with my family since my dad is in and out of hospital and the arguments between my dad and my sister. I know my grandfather blocked it for a good reason but i really wish i could ask him why.
