I decided to do this forum post since so many people think that Necromancy is "Child's play" or about "Death energies" now days. The church called Necromancy "Evil" and other various terms used such as "Antisocial, harmful,devil's works".Which the church saying something misconceptions may be brought up during the process. Necromancy from my knowledge is from the Greeks to obtain information of what the person knew. Some occult texts states they can not learn anything while dead. I actually agree to this statement. Necromancy is a long term path. Greeks would only rely on a few individuals who were very specialized in being necromancers, people who could reach the other side. Necromancy is mainly about divination to talk to the dead. Using scrying mirrors, black bowls, circles and many of other methods are usable when contacting the dead. In terms of necromancy goes. There is only so much information about the TRUE necromancy available making us learners vulnerable to the misconceptions about Necromancy.

Its a good post and brings the truth about the meaning of necromancy. Most modern necromancers do more then merely talk to the dead it has evolved from the regular meaning. I do suggest that it gets upgraded and changed to something more accurate to what most necromancers do. Mortisvirgomancer or death energy user in latin (the name really needs work i admit it xD) is a good example hopefully this wold clear a lot of confusion and fights up. Great post to explain necromancy accurately.
"Child's play" bull that's pretty hard work its and takes alot of energy to even do even the most experienced can't get this done on his/or her own, so nice research.
Although I am an avid gamer I think a lot of our info gets tainted by D&D and other Harry Potterish ideals of magick. Of course biased opinions and view points don't help either. Necromancy is not my schtic but after reading bits and pieces of The Egyptian Book of the Dead I am under the opinion that it deals with the summoning and communication with spirits wether for the attainment of info or something else. I am also of the opinion that anyone who writes off anything as child's play that is magical they have only a child's knowledge and understanding of the true nature of magick. But of course that's just me.
You should try to get a scrying mirror, and read some occult books about it. The best thing to do, is to realize what true magick is from false magick. I stated what necromancy is about....so you can try it yourself.
