who here knows about true magick? is it fake? is it real? is it even here? that is what most people say about it. i two think about it. like how does energy from our body control other stuff or change matter? or how is a rune symbol gets it's power from? i truly wish to know more and there are lots more we can learn from this! it may even hold the answer to why we are here! i think if we share everything we know we can unlock the answer or we well become better at magick and understand why we have that power. unlike you guys i don't want power. i want wisdom from the world and from people! i want to learn everything i can! and i know that some of you guys want to learn more... some just want power. the people that wants power well become evil later on in there life. people that want wisdom i truly don't know yet. all i want to do is learn more but this site only teaches fake and easy magick. ever sense i have join this site i was so happy that i get to learn more about magick. but now that years have past i feel like i have learned nothing from here. it is just sad that it has happen. so please tell me what you know about magick. it well help me and every one else on this site.

I've stumbled across the writer's posts on some other forum... he seems loath to consider chaos magic, but admirably defensive of the Otherkin. I thought the essay was interesting, except if it did come down to spirituality, then low magic and black magic wouldn't exist-- along with the real-life attempts at entertainment magic.
Since it is possible (if anyone's been unfortunate enough to experience) to use magic for selfishness or ill, I would say that it is as much a kind of technology (people tend to be more interested in that it works, than how ) as spirituality. And with pseudo-technology comes a pseudo-science-- the psychic energies, the programming, and so on... but like a science, these are only conclusions based on observations and experiences that can change with new perspective, and like a science if everything could finally be explained then it might even become obsolete (unlike a science, it doesn't officially exist ;-P)
I like how the new spirituality is shaping up... but, like the "magic is a technology" approach, there is still a lot of mystery.
The way I understood it was: there was the Source, and it wanted to know itself-- so it split, into you and me, and everything conscious. Because we are part of this psychic energy, we can control it. Because we are (at the same time) not a part of this energy, we suffer... either because we forget who we are / what we're a part of, or because we are learning about ourselves and earning our return to the psychic energy Source.
