My humble introduction

Hello, I'm Grenade, I'm 15 years and I'm from Scania. I really want to become a warlock, I think magic sounds fascinating. But my biggest problem is that I don't believe in magic enough, does anyone here know how to make me believe?
I want to tell you guys something. Some years ago, when I was playing my ocarina, just after I finished the song, a whirlwind appeared and picked up some gravel and flew some meters before falling. Does this mean something? I've never seen a whirlwind apart from this.

Hello Grenade and welcome to Spells of Magic. There are a lot of interesting and wonderful things to be found here.

I would like to inform you that "warlock" is a term used for those who break oaths and or betray their covens. Its an offensive term to craft workers.

No one can make you believe, only you can choose to or not.

Its something you connect yourself with, and requires an open mind and a sturdy train of thought. No one can make you believe.
And on your whirlwind, it sounds a bit too Ocarina of Time, if you know what I'm saying. ;)

on getting into magic and the occult, start with the Basics, they can be found through Google or another search engine, if they are difficult to find,
add 'magick, pagan, occult, wicca' ect to the search.
The basics are as follows:

Shielding
Grounding
Centering
Meditation
Colors and their meanings
Moon Phases and their meanings
Days and their meanings
Hours and their meanings
Herbs and magick Tools (Stones, wands, altars, ect)
Visualization
Energy Manipulation
Astral Projection and the Planes of Existence
Astrology

Aswell as your signs and spiritual attachments, Zodiac and elements,
totems, ect. Which can depend on your birthdate, and others require spiritual
guidance through meditation or dreaming. Communication with your spririt guide(s)
can also help you on your experience.

To run down the basics, If you want to learn how to write, or properly cast spells
YOU NEED TO LEARN THESE. There is short cut to truely participating in this practice
without this essential knowledge. You study until you have these memorized, and you may
forget a few along the way. As long as you keep practicing, is as long as you will remember.

A mentor is there to guide you, however they will not hand feed you everything you need to know
They are your teacher, they are the frame, they explain what you cannot understand. HOWEVER
it is still a Personal experience, something you need to be grounded in, and well connected
with your subconcious, there are some things your mentor cannot give you.

frgjhg1: Yes, I've actually been thinking about being an Air elemental due to this whirlwind thing.
Bane: Oh, how could I miss this? I always thought it just meant male witch.
doe: I know it sounds like something from Ocarina of Time, but it did actually happen. Also, I've heard that the flute has some connection to the Air element, and the Ocarina is a type of flute. And ok, I will try to become a bit more open minded. (I already am kinda open minded, I have tried my hand at Lucid Dreaming, but I have not succeeded yet.

Lucid dreaming takes a bit of training to be successful at it. Just keep track of your dreams, monitor their meanings and you'll get it soon.
If there was a whirlwind, it was likely symbolism, representative of a strong spirit. Keep it up, you have potential in the practice. :)

Well, I've been trying for like 6 months now, but I will never give up.
I also have a nice idea on where to get my wand, this will probably make it extra good. I will get it from my family's warden tree. It brings bad luck to hurt it, so I will look for a fallen branch. Since this tree is bound to my family, it will maybe make a very good wand. I have only succeeded to do a PSI-ball now, but I will try to channel that energy until I'm good enough at that.

That is a fantastic idea for a wand. The sentimental value will add on.

What method are you using for lucid dreaming?

I simply do Reality Checks now and then. I also do WILD combined with WBTB.
