I get many questions about astral projection, and I have seen how complicated methods of astral projection are. This is what I think I'd the easiest method. At night, when you're in bed, (It doesn't hurt to meditate before this.) close your eyes and think the word banana or nanana... In your head. This is so you can create a white noise. You cannot fall asleep in a middle of a thought. But if you create a white noise, your body will be tricked into falling asleep. Your mind will be awake. So you'll be awake while sleeping. The banana or nanana... has to go on for about 15 to 20 minutes. But you should keep thinking that until you start feeling vibrations. Then, simply try sitting up without physically moving. It it very important not to move physically or your body will wake up. If you manage sitting up in your astral body, the vibrations will get stronger. Don't get too excited. Just get out of your physical body and you can do whatever it is you want to do. I didn't actually get fully out of my body because I thought I had died so I got scared and I moved my arm. That made me fully awake. But I did manage to get partially out on the first try. I hope this was helpful. You can ask me questions about this, but I'm not an expert on astral projection.
I think the largest issue with teaching astral projection is that everyone has different methods that work best for them. When I was first learning I tried most of the common techniques out there and never had much luck then one night whilst lying in bed I pretty much just took a deep breath and "fell out of my body". Much like you I panicked the first time awoke within a few instants but I think it's that initial step that's the hardest part, once you've done it once it does become much easier after that.
That's true. It took me a while to try again because I didn't know what astral projection was at that time. Even when I did learn, the fear and excitement always messed me up.
By the way, just realised that I forgot to actually say that I liked your method. I find bed is probably the best place to practice, meditation is great but there's something about the state of mind bed puts you in thats great for ap I find, so long as you don't fall asleep that is.
Falling asleep is why many people can't astral project. They get so comfortable that they fall asleep. I do it all the time. I think a way to solve this is by finding a surface that isn't too comfortable, but more comfortable than a floor.
This method doesn't prevent panic but over time, you'll get used to the feeling and you'll be able to project easily. It just takes practice and effort. :)
Great imput on AP :D I have learned of a new thing called binaural beats. Its a realy neat method to help with meditaion, ap, lucid dreaming, learning and abunch of other things.. If anyone has issues with trying to relax or even; like for ap to keep your mind away while you body is falling into sleep this is a great way to get started.. of chorse its not recomended to be permanant :P otherwise it becomes a crutch and then you never let your mind workout and be able to do it on your own. :)
